Stool pH

The acidity or alkalinity of stool, typically slightly acidic to neutral (6.0–7.0). Low pH may indicate increased carbohydrate fermentation, while high pH may suggest protein putrefaction, reduced SCFA production, or impaired fibre fermentation.
