Functional Medicine Practitioner | Nutritional Therapist | Hormone & Gut Health Specialist

I’m Kate Osborne, a Registered Nutritional Therapist and Functional Medicine Practitioner with nearly two decades of clinical experience. I specialise in helping women—particularly those in their 40s and beyond—navigate hormonal transitions like perimenopause and overcome gut-related health challenges. Here goes your text … Select any part of your text to access the formatting toolbar.

Before launching my full-time practice, I worked as part of the Clinician Education team at Genova Diagnostics Europe, (a functional testing laboratory specialising in gut microbiome and hormone testing) where I advised doctors and healthcare professionals on using the tests and targeted a nutritional interventions to support patient health. I’ve also lectured at conferences and universities on the clinical application of nutrition and lab testing.

I am trained in Functional Medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine’s AFMCP and postgraduate education.

I hold a Master’s degree in Person-Centred Nutrition, and since 2007 I’ve supported hundreds of women in transforming their health through evidence-based, personalised nutrition. My clinical approach is grounded in Functional Medicine, a systems-based framework that identifies and addresses the root causes of symptoms rather than simply masking them.

I’ve completed advanced training in Functional Medicine, including:

  • AFMCP (2018) (Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice)
  • Advanced Hormone Module (2025)
  • Autoimmunity Module with the Kharrazian Institute (2022)

In 2024, I completed a fellowship in integrative mental health care with Psychiatry Redefined Academy (USA) under the supervision of Dr James Greenblatt. I also worked as the in-house nutritional therapist at The Functional Doctor clinic in London, run by Dr Suman Gupta.

My Why

Like many of my clients, I didn’t always feel well—and no one could tell me why. In my twenties, I battled chronic digestive issues and low immunity that disrupted my career and social life. Despite countless tests, nothing was “clinically wrong.” I was handed medications but not solutions.

When I discovered nutritional therapy, everything changed. Within weeks of changing my diet and using supplements, my symptoms dramatically improved. I was hooked—and determined to help others regain their health too.

Later, in my 40s, I faced hormone-related challenges: migraines, fatigue, and mood swings. Due to a family history of breast cancer and a BRCA2 gene risk, I was told that HRT wasn’t an option. I turned to the same root-cause principles that had transformed my gut— to help balance my hormones. That journey inspired me to specialise in women’s hormone health.
