The inability to properly digest and absorb dietary fats, resulting in fatty, foul-smelling stools (steatorrhoea), deficiencies in fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K), and weight loss. Causes include pancreatic insufficiency, bile acid deficiency, and coeliac disease.
